Our Lady of Grace: Earning Trust through Partnership & Putting Client Needs First

For 20 years, Our Lady of Grace, a Catholic parish in Edina, Minn., has been a client of Opus. It’s a relationship based and built on mutual trust. Several years ago, the parish administrator asked for advice regarding the existing priest’s residence and the possibility of replacing it with a new priest’s residence, similar in size and function to a large single family home with multiple living units. So, we walked through the aged rectory, evaluated it, and gave him our professional opinion.

Based on that information, the church decided to tear it down and build new. The parish administrator asked if we were interested in the work. We are a commercial real estate firm and we don’t specialize in single-family homes. However, we still wanted to help, so we provided pro-bono services to Our Lady of Grace by helping them get bids and choose a qualified architect, as well as interview multiple contractors to get the project moving.

“Open communication, project management and customer focus were a few of Opus’ strongest assets. The team was excellent at communicating project status, explaining the steps of the project, and anticipating and solving potential challenges.”
