American Academy of Pediatrics' new headquarters in Itasca, Ill., recently won the Build-to-Suit Project of the Year at the Chicago Real Estate Awards.

This annual event welcomes top commercial real estate, design, construction and property management firms to celebrate the industry and support the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago's food bank that partners with 700 agencies and programs and distributes 164,000 meals daily. Through 2017, this event has raised $1.2 million for local hunger relief.

This Client Direct Services project was built in partnership with JLL, who represented American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and Stantec, the architect of record and design architect. AAP, which is a professional membership organization of 66,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical sub-specialists and pediatric surgical specialists, needed a new headquarters that would accommodate their recent and projected growth. This new facility is customized to their needs with collaborative workspaces for employees and areas for hosting conferences and events.

Congrats to the project team on this success!
