Arbor Lakes Corporate Center, 204,120-square-foot, state-of-the-art speculative industrial building in Maple Grove, received the Environmental Impact Award – Large Project
ReScape Award from Minnesota Brownfields.
The site of a former landfill, the city of Maple Grove owned the land and wanted it redeveloped. Due to its former use, it was significantly contaminated with known and unknown materials. In total, 183,000 tons of debris were removed from the site.
What was once a heavily-contaminated, unusable property is now a job-creating facility that will generate tax revenue for the city for many years. The building's tenants will bring around 300 jobs to the community of over 70,000 residents.
