Providing empowerment for youth to reach their full potential, New Pathways for Youth has been serving the greater Phoenix area since 1989. Nearly 5,500 youth served later, the organization continues to provide one-on-one mentoring, in-depth case management support and afterschool programs to help youth get ready for college and their career.

The Opus Foundation^®^ recently awarded New Pathways for Youth a $35,100 Impact Fund grant to support the organization’s curriculum redesign and development. “This grant will have a very significant impact in allowing us to build our program and serve our youth in an even greater capacity,” said Christy McClendon, president and CEO of New Pathways for Youth. “It will allow us to advance our transformative mentoring program and fully integrate our programs for the greatest impact of our youth.”

With the grant, the organization will be able to provide support and training to nearly 400 volunteers currently providing mentorship services. After a year-long evaluation of its services, New Pathways identified a different approach to create an integrated, efficient model, combining best practices learned from its service model. The organization will be able to fully integrate its programs to achieve the greatest impact.

“We are so proud to partner with the Opus Foundation and our local Opus team in Phoenix,” McClendon said. “It’s truly an honor and impressive investment Opus is making in the community. We intend to serve your impact proudly through investment made in youth.”
