Construction Projects Recognized with a Notable MNSHARP Certification
MNSHARP certification recognizes safety efforts on The Nic on Fifth® and Xcel Energy @ 401 Nicollet in downtown Minneapolis.
At Opus, we’re proud to announce that The Nic on Fifth® and Xcel Energy @ 401 Nicollet are the recipients of a Minnesota Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (MNSHARP) certification for construction! We're celebrating this honor today with a flag raising ceremony on site with Ken Peterson, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry.
The MNSHARP certification recognizes “companies whose managers and employees work together to develop safety and health programs that go beyond basic compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, and result in immediate and long-term prevention of job-related injuries and illnesses.”
We requested enrollment in the program after meeting the Minnesota OSHA eligibility requirements. This recognition is a testament to our job site safety program that promotes a safe work environment.
This is the third MNSHARP award our teams have received. The Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management campus in Mounds View, Minn., which many of our current team members worked on, received the first ever MNSHARP for construction Certification. Our team members were also the first to receive a second MNSHARP for construction for Excelsior Crossings in Hopkins, Minn.
Thanks to all of the team members who helped make this possible by ensuring and enforcing job site safety.
At Opus, the safety of our associates and the general public is a priority on all of our projects. Promoting a safe work environment is an important part of our corporate culture. Learn more.
