The Construction team recently celebrated their 3rd annual virtual safety awards.

The annual safety awards have been presented for over 50 years and have recognized individuals for outstanding achievements in safety.

“For 2021 we've evolved the safety award to include all team members – both field and office," said Josh Babiasz, Director, Safety Management.

This year's safety award was awarded to an entire project team – North Washington Commerce Center in Thornton, Colo. The team was chosen based on low incidents and the project scorecard. All categories met the baseline expectations with some going above and beyond, including safety inspects being completed and documented more frequently than weekly, subcontractor safety documents collected for almost every onsite sub and documents were collected and submitted to Procore.

“One item that really pushed this team over the top was pre-construction meetings," Josh said. “The project team completed and documented preconstruction meetings with almost every subcontractor onsite."

Construction associates who've worked on this project include the following:

  • Jim Erwin, Regional Vice President of Construction
  • Mike Fangman, Superintendent
  • Bill Grove, Field Coordinator
  • Kevin Keener, Superintendent
  • Nick Lauters, Project Executive
  • Nick Mann, Project Manager
  • Jonah Manson, Associate Superintendent
  • Bob Papish, Field Coordinator
  • JR Reynolds, Director, Project Management
  • Jason Siebenaler, Superintendent

Project team members were able to select a recognition item.

Congrats to the team!
