“I ended up in this career path starting early," said Senior Project Manager Scott Shifflett. “I was always a problem solver as a child; I liked to work on engineering problems. I earned my Engineering degree and found that I was more of a people person than just a math person. I found that the construction industry combined the two seamlessly and really worked well for me."
Scott joined Opus in 2006. He has a Bachelor of Science in construction engineering from Iowa State University. As a Senior Project Manager, Scott independently leads project teams of architects, engineers and subcontractors to deliver integrated design-build services on projects across multiple sectors, including office, industrial, institutional, retail and residential. His responsibilities include managing project pursuit, design, construction and activation to ensure achievement of budget, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction goals.
