Headquarters Office Building Achieves ENERGY STAR Certification
This year, the building complex that includes our headquarters, Digital River and more companies was rated as more energy efficient than 84% of similar buildings nationwide.
Coming up on close to a decade, our headquarters location building in Minnetonka, Minnesota, has been ENERGY STAR certified.
This year, the building complex, which includes our headquarters, Digital River and more companies, received a score of 84, which signifies that it is more energy efficient than 84% of similar buildings nationwide.
“Energy efficiency has become increasingly important," said Christine Butterfield, RPA, FMP, Director of Office & Facilities Management. “Certification ensures the building is minimizing energy waste."
ENERGY STAR is known as “the government-backed symbol for energy efficiency." (Source) It is a voluntary “program that delivers environmental benefits and financial value through superior energy efficiency." (Source) On average, these buildings use 35% less energy and contribute 35% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than similar buildings nationwide.
“Each year, we proudly display our Energy Star Certification label at the main entrance to our building," Christine said.
3701 Wayzata Blvd Multitenant Repositioned Office in Minneapolis also recently achieved ENERGY STAR Certification with a score of 82.
