From churches to schools, we’ve partnered with numerous institutional clients to deliver their vision. Through many of these partnerships, we’ve built ongoing relationships, returning and providing solutions as these institutions’ needs have changed over time.

As technology continues to evolve, schools and churches are determining how to best integrate it into their facilities. Long-time academic clients have turned to us to help them modernize and more efficiently use their facilities. Our integrated design-build approach brings together a team of experts experienced in the specific needs of the client, enabling us to coordinate closely to develop solutions unique to the challenge or project at hand.

Creighton University

Four years after completing the Harper Student Center at Creighton University, we were back on campus to help address changing facility needs, specifically, finding a new home for the Heider College of Business. Our solution was two-fold: 1) renovate the Harper Center to house the Heider College of Business and 2) remodel spaces in four other campus buildings to accommodate 13 departments previously housed in the Harper Center.

After this multi-phase project was complete, John Wilhelm, vice president for administration at Creighton, said, “Opus understood the academic calendar that challenged us. They accommodated our scheduling needs and were flexible in working different times to avoid causing disruptions while classes were in session.”

Visitation School

Visitation approached us with their “heart and mind” vision to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education; to create an inviting commons and main entrance and to improve building flow. We worked closely with them to design a two-phase solution to achieve this vision—a dedicated STEM workshop and classroom center and an iconic entry and gathering space.

“Working with Opus was a completely collaborative team approach. We feel like part of their team and that they are a part of our school family,” said Dawn Nichols, Ed.D., head of Visitation School. “They respected that our mission is education and were masterful in not having construction interfere with it. We loved working with Opus.”

We’re proud of these partnerships and the opportunities to consistently help our institutional clients find project solutions that satisfy the optimal blend of their goals—budget, timing, function and wow!
