Joe Swensson, Senior Manager of Real Estate Development, was named the NAIOP Colorado Developing Leader Member of the Year.
Joe has been a member of NAIOP Colorado since 2015. He's been a member of the Developing Leader Committee, helping with their mentorship program and planning the Skiing with the Icons event for the last four years.
Joe has been a member of Team Opus since June 2016. As Senior Manager of Real Estate Development, Joe creates new mixed-use, residential, office and industrial development opportunities throughout Colorado. He works on site selection and acquisition, underwriting, due diligence, government approvals, assists with capital markets efforts and coordinates the efforts of the construction, design and development teams. He's developed a number of projects, including Potomac Park at Dove Valley (Englewood, CO), 1919 Mile High Apartments (Denver, CO), The Glenn at The Jones District™ (Centennial, CO), North Washington Commerce Center (Thornton, CO) and Rangeview Industrial Center (Aurora, CO).
Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Middlebury College and a Master of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.
