Nordeast Business Center has won the NAIOP Minnesota Award of Excellence for Low-Industrial Low-Finish! The project was described as a “game-changer in meeting the demand for modern and efficient industrial buildings."
“The NAIOP Minnesota Awards of Excellence program recognizes exceptional developments by NAIOP members. A panel of independent judges tour nominated projects and rate them on site development, architectural integrity, interior design, integration into the community, market feasibility, unique challenges and LEED certification."
We developed Nordeast on a rare infill site that offers proximity to downtown Minneapolis, I-694 and I-94. The 130,439-square-foot speculative industrial building helps meet demand for modern and efficient industrial buildings in an area with limited supply. The shell building features:
- 32-foot clear height
- 136 vehicle parking stalls
- 22 dock doors
- 2 drive-in doors
- 19 trailer parking stalls
The Northeast neighborhood has a rich history as a thriving industrial oasis and today is also known for its mix of food and culture, with art and entertainment, restaurants, breweries, bars and shops. Opus helped preserve the area's charm with pollinator-friendly, neonicotinoid-free plants and reincorporating public art displays.
The building was completed in July 2022. Tenants include Greentech Renewables, a distributor that provides resources to design, finance, sell, and install PV (solar photovoltaics) and energy storage solutions, and Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED), one of the largest electrical solutions distributors and product suppliers in the country.
