Opus Completes & Signs First Tenant for Spec Warehouse in Bolingbrook, Illinois
1325 Remington, a spec industrial building in Bolingbrook, Illinois, is now complete, and Computershare has signed a long-term lease in the building.
The Opus Group (Opus) announced today the completion of 1325 Remington, a 112,049-square-foot warehouse and office building in Bolingbrook. Additionally, Opus announced that Computershare, (CPU:AUX) a global provider of financial and shareholder communication services, has signed a long-term lease agreement as the building’s first tenant – leasing 44,357 square feet of the space.
“We’re thrilled to add another new Class A option for industrial tenants seeking space in the I-55 Corridor,” said Matt Kurucz, senior manager, real estate development, Opus Development Company, L.L.C. “This building is the last remaining site within the well-established Carlow Corporate Center and is ideally located just a half mile north of the full interchange at I-55 and Weber Road. The flexible building design provides businesses and employees with easy access to the interstate, as well as abundant car parking.”
Located within the Interstate 55 industrial corridor of suburban Chicago, 1325 Remington is the closest site to the full interchange at I-55 and Weber Road. The building also features an ESFR fire suppression system, state-of-the-art lighting systems, three drive-in doors, 11 loading docks and 28-foot clear height. Additionally, users will have convenient access to all of Bolingbrook’s retail and restaurant amenities nearby.
“We are pleased Computershare has a presence in Bolingbrook and are looking forward to being a part of the local business community,” stated Bernie O’Connor, president of Computershare Communication Servicers. “The new facility meets our client’s changing needs and allows for future growth in print and digital communication services.”
The building was completed in November 2016 and Computershare was fully operational in the space before the end of the year. Approximately 67,692 square feet of space (divisible to 25,000 square feet) remains available for lease with the ability to accommodate up to two tenants.
Opus’ recent portfolio of work includes more than 6.8 million square feet of industrial developments currently under construction or completed in the past 24 months across the United States.
