MINNEAPOLIS – The Opus Group (Opus) announced today a contract with Capp Industries, Inc. to design and construct a 121,000-square-foot speculative warehouse and distribution facility in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Capp Industries is a Bloomington, Minnesota-based commercial real estate developer with more than 50 years of industrial property development experience. Opus has, over a period of more than 20 years, worked with Capp Industries on a wide variety of industrial and commercial projects across the Twin Cities.

Located at 4551 12th Avenue in Shakopee, Minnesota, this building will be adjacent and architecturally complementary to the first phase project built by Opus for Capp Industries in 1996. The building will be designed with a 32-foot clear height and 50-foot deep structural bays.
Construction will begin this fall and completion is slated for January 2015. Opus Design Build, L.L.C. is the design-builder and Opus AE Group, L.L.C is the project’s architect and engineer of record. Capp Industries is the developer and will own and lease the project.
