CHICAGO, Ill. - Opus Development Corporation today announced a long-term lease agreement with Cloverhill Pastry-Vend, LLC for a 291,814-square-foot industrial building within the Opus-developed Cicero Business Center, a 553,539-square-foot, two-building industrial development located just six miles west of downtown Chicago.
Ideally situated on Interstate 290, with access to three interchanges within a six-block radius, Cicero Business Center is a state-of-the-art industrial project offering a great location for users who require access to the city, a large labor pool or general distribution throughout Chicago. Also available for lease is a 261,725-square-foot facility.
Kris Bjorson and Trevor Ragsdale of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Cloverhill and Tom Condon and Vern Schultz of Colliers International represented the Landlord on the transaction.
Opus also announced the completion of a 35,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution facility designed and built for King Shan, LLC at Oakview Corporate Park in West Dundee, Ill. A leading manufacturer of steel wire and metal fabrication products, King Shan is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, and supplies grill grates for Weber-Stephen Products Co., maker of Weber grills. Opus was able to accommodate King Shan’s urgent need for industrial space in the Chicago market with a state-of-the-art facility completed in just five months. This is the third building Opus has built at Oakview Corporate Park, now totalling approximately 300,000 square feet.
“These transactions are a testament to our team’s industrial expertise in Chicago,” said Mike Yungerman, vice president of real estate development for Opus Development Corporation. “It’s a challenge to close deals in the market right now and we have the ability to deliver industrial projects of all types during this time.”
Noel Liston of Darwin Realty and Development represented both King Shan and Opus in the transaction.
