The Opus Group® Begins Construction on River Valley Business Park, a Speculative Industrial Development in Shakopee, Minnesota

The Opus Group (Opus) today announced the start of construction on River Valley Business Park, a two-building speculative industrial development in Shakopee, Minn. The project includes a 150,000-square-foot building and a 300,000-square-foot building on 51 acres. The development is located in Shakopee at the southwest corner of Highway 169 and Old Brick Yard Road at 3000 and 3050 Emery Way.

“We are excited to bring this new industrial development to Shakopee, which can accommodate a large variety of tenants," said Joe Mahoney, director of real estate development for Opus.

“Opus has a long history of developing industrial properties in this southwestern Twin Cities submarket," said Anna Bode, manager of real estate development for Opus. “The location provides immediate access to Highway 169 and is near many amenities, including entertainment, restaurants, grocery stores and trail systems."

The first building can accommodate 42 dock doors, up to 214 auto parking stalls, and has a 28-foot clear height. The second building can accommodate 74 dock doors, up to 413 auto parking stalls, and has a 32-foot clear height. River Valley Business Park is slated for completion in late 2023.

Opus has developed more than 2 million square feet of industrial projects in Shakopee, including Cherne Industries Headquarters at Brickyard Exchange, and Valley Park Business Center.

Opus is the developer, design-builder, and architect and structural engineer of record on the project. Kris Smeltzer and Danny McNamara of Cushman & Wakefield are marketing the space for lease.
