Opus Foundation Awards $1.5 Million in Impact Fund Grants

Committed to building community for a better tomorrow, in June 2023 the Opus Foundation awarded $1,555,000 to 15 impactful nonprofit organizations in our communities, supporting the Community Revitalization, Early Childhood Education, Workforce Development and Youth Development focus areas.

Over the coming weeks, we'll profile the following impactful organizations who received grants in this round:

• Dunwoody College of Technology (Minneapolis)

The Foundation is proud to support the following organizations with Impact Fund and multi-year grants:

• African American Leadership Forum (Minneapolis) for Black Agenda for Change
• Big Shoulders Fund (Chicago) for teacher recruitment and retention
• Building Futures (St. Louis) for in school workshops and summer design and build programs
• Camp Fire Minnesota (Minneapolis) for PreK – 12 environmental education program
• Child Crisis Arizona (Phoenix) for the Fostering Bright Futures Expansion Campaign
• Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (Denver) for Renewal Village renovations
• CommonBond Communities (Minneapolis) for RISE Early Learning Childcare Center
• Construction Careers Foundation (Minneapolis) for program growth and enhancements
• Dunwoody College of Technology (Minneapolis) for Pathways to Careers Program
• Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana (Indianapolis) for college and career readiness
• Lake Street Council (Minneapolis) for small business support
• New Pathways for Youth, Inc. (Phoenix) for the LEVEL UP: Bonus Round Young Adult Programming
• New Visions Homeless Services (Des Moines) for the Pathways to Success Work Training Program
• Pathway Financial Education (Kansas City) to increase organizational capacity
• Starfish Initiative (Indianapolis) for the Mentor Engagement Program

Additionally, from January to June, the Foundation awarded $162,000 with 33 Opportunity Fund grants. Opportunity fund grants are awarded monthly and are designed to provide a quick response to needs and opportunities in our communities.
