The Opus Group® (Opus) announced today the conversion of two underutilized retail sites, one in Coon Rapids and the other in Roseville, into new showroom locations for Schneiderman's Furniture. The Coon Rapids showroom is Schneiderman's first store in Coon Rapids, representing an expansion into the northern suburbs. The Roseville showroom replaces a Schneiderman's store previously located in the city. They both feature modern design and key Schneiderman's branding elements similar to the company's flagship store in Lakeville, which Opus designed and built in 2017.
“It has been a pleasure to partner with Schneiderman's Furniture once again," said Jeremiah Cunningham, project manager for Opus. “Because of our integrated design-build delivery method and deep understanding of their organization, we were able to maximize their budget and expedite completion of both projects."
The two new showrooms are located in busy commercial centers with excellent drive-by visibility. Both demonstrate commitment to sustainability and green building practices. By converting and bringing new life to former retail sites, Schneiderman's is contributing to the revitalization of brick-and-mortar retail centers. The Coon Rapids location will also bring new jobs to the community.

In Coon Rapids, Opus converted a 130,000-square-foot building that had been vacant for five years. The location at 12737 Riverdale Blvd NW in the Riverdale Village retail center was formerly a Sears store and is highly visible from U.S. Highway 10. To bring natural light into the store, the Opus design includes abundant large windows. The store opened on April 18 and a grand opening event will take place June 1 through June 20.
The 47,000-square-foot Roseville showroom, at 2480 Fairview Avenue North, is in the Rosedale Commons retail center. It replaced the previous Schneiderman's store that was a few blocks west on County Road B2. The new Roseville showroom features a large, brightly lit glass atrium with a glazed curtain wall and grand staircase with glass railings and composite wood risers. It will open for business Memorial Day weekend.
Opus was the design-builder, interior designer and architect and structural engineer of record on the projects.
