We measure a project’s success by the satisfaction of our partners, clients and communities. That’s why we’re proud to share the news that three of our recent projects were recognized for going beyond industry standards in delivering high-quality developments that met community needs.

Airwest 12 & 14 at Plainfield Business Center

The Airwest 12 and Airwest 14 industrial warehouses at the Plainfield Business Center in Plainfield, Ind., have each been awarded Two Green Globes for New Constructionin recognition of Opus’ attention to sustainability in all aspects of development. The Green Globes system is a green building rating and certification tool, similar to LEED, that looks at a project’s environmental impact and efficiency. Administered by the Green Building Initiative, projects can be awarded between one and four Green Globes for sustainability efforts.

This achievement speaks to the expertise of our team in promoting efficient use of energy and resources, a healthful environment for employees and energy savings for future tenants. The level of efficiency required to achieve “Two Green Globe” status is comprehensive and truly impactful on sustainability. We are proud of our team’s forward-thinkingapproach to sustainable design and construction.

The Fresh Market Center

In a nod to Opus’ leadership in responsible, community-centric retail development, our work to develop, design and construct The Fresh Market Center in Glen Ellyn, Ill., has been honored by the Architectural Review Commission of Glen Ellyn for its part in helping to create a coherent and unique community identity. The commission recognized Opus for the extra effort given to providing the village with an outstanding asset, a principle that we pursue in all of our developments.

Opus received an Honorable Mention for the commission’s Traveling Trophy Award, which acknowledges excellence in achieving the Village of Glen Ellyn’s aesthetic vision. The Fresh Market Center is just one example of how Opus works with and listens to communities in order to achieve greater success for its developments.
