The Opus Group (Opus) announced that Scott Larson has joined the company as vice president of capital markets. In his new role, Larson will be responsible for growing the company's capital markets capabilities nationally and across various product types. He will work closely with all of Opus' joint venture partners and be a critical resource for Opus development teams across the United States from project inception to completion. Larson will be based in the company's Minneapolis headquarters and report to
Pete Conlon, senior vice president of capital markets.
“Scott brings extensive industry knowledge and capital markets relationships to Opus and is known in the industry for driving successful real estate transactions," said Conlon. “Scott will be an asset to Opus and will help us continue to expand our relationships with top-tier capital partners."
Larson has more than 13 years of real estate experience. Most recently, Larson was senior vice president and principal of Axial Real Estate Advisors LLC, leading acquisitions, partnership negotiations and financing. Previously Larson was director of investments and finance for Dougherty Real Estate Equity Advisors LLC (which became Axial in 2020), where he was responsible for underwriting and due diligence of new investment opportunities and assisted with dispositions. Earlier in his career, Larson also held positions at CBRE and JLL in various roles, including loan originations and tenant representation.
"I am excited to join Opus and help further strengthen its capital markets relationships, structures and strategies," said Larson. "I look forward to working with the Opus development teams across the country while also building even deeper relationships with valued external equity partners."
Larson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association and NAIOP Minnesota.
