Leaders Give Back at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Annual CEO Build
Two of our executive leaders participated in the CEO Build for their sixth and seventh times.
Stewardship and giving back to the communities in which we live, work and play is at our core, and it’s also a value espoused by our leaders at the top. Last week, Dave Bangasser, president & CEO of Opus Design Build, L.L.C., and Ed Gschneidner, president of Opus AE Group, L.L.C., built on a shared history of participating in the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity CEO Build.
Dave and Ed have each participated in the CEO Build since 2011—only missing one and two years, respectively. This year, they worked on separate homes in Saint Paul’s Payne-Phalen neighborhood. Dave worked on exterior siding for a Hmong family, and Ed building the front porch on a single family home for an Ethiopian family.
“The CEO Build is a great cause for a great organization with impressive results, and I truly believe in their mission,” Ed said. “In today’s divisive climate, it’s really uplifting to partake in an activity without all of the rancor.”
Dave echoed similar praise of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s cause, adding “We can directly see our contributions to making our community better, one family at a time.”
Community stewardship is at the core of our organization and has been a pillar of our organization's history from the beginning. Learn more about our commitment.
