ST. LOUIS – The Opus Group
(Opus), along with
AIG Global Real Estate, announced today plans for a six-story high end apartment and retail building in Clayton, Missouri’s downtown business district.

The project will feature five stories of luxury residential units, including 120 residences in a variety of studio, alcove, one- and two-bedroom configurations, as well as two levels of underground parking. On the ground level, approximately 13,000 square feet of retail space will support the area’s thriving commerce activity.

The project’s elegant, modern and sustainable design will complement the city’s downtown business district and highly-trafficked “Restaurant Row” – a hub for dining and pedestrian activity. Adjacent to a variety of public transit options, including bus and rail, the development will also feature amenities fit for an active, urban lifestyle, such as a Fitness On Demand studio, secure bike storage and a rooftop terrace overlooking Central Avenue complete with fire pit, grill, club and game rooms and a kitchenette.
This project expands on Opus’ activities in the markets’ multifamily sector; construction started earlier this year on a luxury multifamily project in
St. Louis’ Central West End neighborhood.
Opus Development Company, L.L.C. will be the developer and Opus Design Build, L.L.C. will be the design-builder. Opus AE Group, L.L.C. will be the architect and structural engineer of record. Construction will begin in late 2015 and is slated for completion in March 2017.
