The
University of St. Thomas' Tommie North Residence Hall, completed in July 2020, has received a
Design-Build institute of America-Upper Midwest Region Excellence Award.
Supporting a growing demand for student housing on the vibrant St. Paul campus, we designed and built the five-story, 210,000-square-foot first-year residence hall. The building includes housing for 480 students on four levels with secured access, study rooms, lounges, common space, and a large laundry room. The first level features amenities open to the entire campus community, including:
- kitchen and cafeteria with cooking-on-display stations
- dining area with partitions that open to flex spaces for events
- two classrooms
- a clubroom and game room
This project built on our 30-year history with the college.
