Experience
Alex Lord began his career in 2014 and with our Opus team in 2015.
With an abundance of skills from critical thinking to flexibility and communication to problem-solving, Alex has delivered value on residential, industrial and institutional projects from Minnesota to Arizona.
Ari on Fourth, a post-tension concrete structure in Tucson, Arizona, had a very firm finish date in late July 2024. Knowing that schedule was of the utmost importance, the team worked with the concrete subcontractor to strategize concrete pour sequences, sizes and schedule, accelerating certain parts of the concrete sequence. Ultimately, they saved seven total working days from the original contract schedule.
The COVID-19 pandemic hit in the last four months of the University of St. Thomas Tommie North Residence Hall project in St. Paul, Minnesota. The team needed to safely meet the client’s need to open in time for school while also juggling the safety of the on-site personnel. Instead of using that as an excuse to not the deliver, Alex and the team developed a plan and delivered the project on time without a single instance of COVID on site.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys the outdoors, including time at the family cabin in Wisconsin and taking in the Arizona mountains and scenery with his wife Gabrielle. He’s also an avid hockey fan and golf addict, who enjoys reading, experiencing the local food scene and playing with his dog Hootie.
