Responsibilities
- Manages the design-build construction operations for the Minnesota and Iowa markets
- Leads a team of project managers working on projects across multiple sectors, including office, industrial, institutional, retail and residential
- Oversees project design and construction activities from conception to activation and uses vast experience to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and company standards
- Proactively identifies potential problems and/or disputes with schedule, quality, clients, associates, vendors and subcontractors, and provide effective resolution
- Leads and demonstrates a commitment to a Safety First work environment for all associates through development and enforcement of safety guidelines and policies that meet or exceed industry standards
- Develops short- and long-term plans for the growth and development of the design-build construction operations
- Works directly with the company President and other senior leaders on future business and strategic planning as well as improving current systems and work processes
Experience
Beth has been engaged in design-build project management with Team Opus since 1997. After twenty years of direct project management, she now has the pleasure of influencing project success through career and leadership development of our talented teams. With her many skills, including decision-making, critical thinking, and prioritization, Beth is known for her trustworthiness and client focus. Clients have praised Beth as being one of the most competent, intelligent, knowledgeable and professional individuals they have worked with; for her deep understanding of the industry and for leading by example.
Her extensive experience and leadership skills have also been well noted by colleagues, with business partners expressing that Beth has an impact at both the industry and individual level, finding time to mentor others. They also note that "she is really good at building buildings.”
Beth has brought value to clients with both large project team and downtown high-rise experience. Her impressive project list includes Best Buy (Richfield, MN); Medtronic (Mendota Heights, MN); and Grant Park, The Carlyle, The Nic on Fifth and 365 Nicollet (Minneapolis, MN), totaling more than 5.3 million square feet.
When away from the office, Beth's enjoys running, reading and cheering for her husband and daughters at swim meets.
