Chris van Jaarsveld

Chris began his career in 2018 and joined us in 2022. He has experience as a Project Engineer, Estimator, Realtor and City Building Official and in office and industrial new builds and tenant improvements.

Chris is an adaptable project manager with an ability to work under pressure.

The River Road Logistics project (Council Bluffs, IA) presented Chris many opportunities to showcase his expertise.

During construction of the shell buildings, the levee prism (water resistant part that holds out the river from flooding the adjacent lowlands), and the soil removed did not meet requirements. Chris managed the testing and coordination of the remediation, allowing the project to be completed on time and on budget.

A lease was signed during construction of the shell with a hard occupancy date, which was the same as the overall building completion. Chris successfully managed the schedule and coordination of all work and got the tenant in on time.

To complete another tenant improvement, Chris expedited numerous costly and late changes by the tenant and coordinated activities for unusual equipment requirements, including structural changes.

During construction on the WorldWide Logistics Headquarters (Urbandale, IA), Chris set his office up in the job site trailer, so he could work from there multiple days a week until project close out. From the site, he coordinated with city permitting and documentation.
