Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

Manages pursuit, design, construction and activation on projects to ensure they meet or exceed safety, budget, schedule, quality and client satisfaction goals
Coordinates with field and safety team to identify, plan and provide the resources needed to perform each project safely
Organizes and manages the project team to ensure individual accountability and clarity of roles
Ensures sufficient resources are allocated to successfully achieve all project goals and contract requirements
Actively promotes and supports a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment on projects

Experience

Dan began his career with us in 2014 after joining the team as an intern in 2013. As Senior Project Manager, he recognizes the importance of pausing to understand the greater impact decisions have in a project and leans on his critical thinking skills to make difficult decisions efficiently while continuing to move the process forward.

Dan is committed to providing successful outcomes for clients and creating the best space possible for the end user. Listening to the owner's needs and helping to translate those into design modifications or remaining on the job site late into the evening are a few different ways he commits himself to a project. He did just that on the CSF Iowa Air National Guard project, located in Sioux City, when the Guard became aware of space modifications that would be required before their specialized medical equipment installers could fly in the next day. The client came to Dan and his team and asked if the modifications could be made by the next morning. Committed to meeting the Guard's needs and providing a successful result, the team remained at the jobsite until after midnight so the equipment installation could stay on schedule.

Dan's experience is focused on warehouse space in Iowa, totaling approximately 1.74 million square feet . He has had the opportunity to work on projects that range in size from 82,000 square feet to 350,000 square feet.

In his time away from work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family which includes three young children that keep him very busy. He also enjoys woodworking, an interest he inherited from both his grandfathers, and finds running to be a passion he attributes to his father.
