Jay’s leadership, creativity and strategic vision have defined his successful architectural career spanning over two decades.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and advance our design services, ensuring alignment with client goals, value and market trends
  • Lead integrated design teams in delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across office, industrial, residential, institutional and retail sectors
  • Collaborate with design partners, development and project management teams to define project requirements, scope and budgets
  • Oversee design services to ensure alignment with quality, schedule and budget expectations
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with design firms, consultants and industry representatives
  • Drive business development efforts, including identifying new market opportunities and supporting proposal development
  • Promote our design-build expertise and increase industry awareness of our capabilities
  • Review project designs for functionality, aesthetics, constructability and compliance with company and client standards
  • Ensure alignment with company objectives, market trends and client satisfaction goals

Experience

Jay started his architecture career in 2004 primarily working on office and institutional projects and joined Team Opus in 2012. His creativity and ability to problem solve while making teamwork a priority has contributed to many successful outcomes in his career and has also played a critical role in his ability to manage business growth, foster design excellence and promote operational efficiency through our Integrated Design Services.

With extensive experience in entitlements, design development, quality assurance and team leadership, Jay ensures that all projects balance functionality, aesthetics and constructability while adhering to the highest standards of professional practice. A notable example of his collaborative approach is his leadership on a 400,000-squre-foot multiphase development project. By fostering teamwork among architects, engineers, developers and project managers, Jay aided in implementation of innovative design solutions that adhered to a rustic modern aesthetic while meeting evolving market demands. His dedication to client satisfaction, mentorship and continuous improvement has positioned him as a trusted leader in the architecture and design community.
