Experience
Joel began his field construction career in 2019 with us. He has experience in supervising small to medium scale construction projects across a wide variety of market sectors and has worked in five different states.
He credits his ability to meet client expectations to his critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a focus on scheduling – and clients agree.
Joel put his problem-solving skills to work on the Marvin Windows tenant improvement at Hyde Dakota Commerce Center (Fargo, ND). With less than one week to delivery and the inability to push the project schedule, the team learned there would be a delay in receiving restroom partitions. Despite this setback, they were still able to get a temporary certificate of occupancy on schedule, which allowed the tenant to begin manufacturing operations on time. The Marvin Windows team expressed how happy they were with Joel’s day-to-day management of the project and focus on adhering to the schedule while fixing issues.
During the kitchen remodel at Our Lady of Grace (Edina, MN), power needed to be shut down for eight hours to install new electrical equipment. Through multiple in-person meetings and phone calls, Joel and the team established a plan that minimized the impact to the client and mitigated the risk to their activities. The shutdown was executed nearly flawlessly, and power was tuned on ahead of schedule.
When away from the office, Joel enjoys cycling and mountain biking, working on house projects, gardening and watching Iowa State University sports.
