Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all safety operations, including the development, implementation and administration of safety programs, practices and procedures
  • Works closely with safety field leadership, construction operations leadership, risk management and legal team members to integrate safe work practices through all phases of a project
  • Visits all jobsites on a regular basis to perform workplace safety audits, develop safety-training programs for supervisory personnel and diligently promote safety accountability for all associates, workers and visitors
  • Manages third-party safety consultants in all markets, who help support safety efforts onsite by performing safety audits, provide independent incident investigations and assist with OSHA inspections

Experience

Josh joined us in 2000 with several years of experience in the areas of soil inspection, foundation design and environmental analysis. He initially performed project management duties, but his passion and acumen for safety led him to transition into construction safety management.

Josh is very active in the safety and loss prevention community, and he serves as a member of our internal management team responsible for establishing and executing best safety practices and quality control on all of our projects.
