Mike George

Manager, Real Estate Development

Mike George is self-starter with a sense of urgency and drive to see projects and initiatives through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Manages commercial real estate development efforts, including market research, planning, land selection, land purchase and sale negotiation, entitlement, building lease and sale negotiation, product development and marketing and project budgeting
  • Executes the acquisition, development, leasing, marketing and dispositions, obtaining necessary jurisdictional entitlements for projects across multiple sectors
  • Assists in the selection, negotiation, coordination, municipal collaboration, purchase and development of land in line with company business criteria and analyze and select sites based on potential profit
  • Performs appropriate market, site feasibility and end-use analysis and coordinates due diligence and financial pro-forma modeling and analysis collaboratively with design-build and architecture associates
  • Engages with brokers, end users, community leaders and other stakeholders to develop concepts that create the right product for the market
  • Negotiates leases for speculative real estate projects with brokers and clients
  • Assists with custom build-to-suit transactions, ensuring they meet client specifications and company standards
  • Coordinates and monitors design, project management and construction activities, including schedules and budgets, and regularly visit project sites

Experience

Mike George began his career in 2017 and joined our team in 2024. Prior to joining our team, he was a Vice President for STORE Capital, a net lease REIT focused on retail and industrial properties where he gained experience in underwriting and asset management nationwide. He now focuses on development opportunities in Arizona.

Mike has experience in, dispositions, leasing, acquisitions and restructuring. He is skilled in risk management, problem solving, deal making, and negotiations. Across the United States, Mike has leased, sold or restructured leases for over $870 million of commercial real estate investments. He has also underwritten over $1.3 billion in commercial real estate acquisitions.

Mike is an adaptive problem solver who thinks outside of the box to conceive and evaluate new ideas and approaches. He solves issues by identifying and pursuing the best path forward.

Out of the office, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and their dachshund. He also enjoys hiking, staying active, cooking and watching Ohio Sports teams.
