Experience

Nick joined the industry in 2013 with Russell Construction before joining us in 2016. He is well-versed in multifamily, industrial, office and healthcare projects. He's had the opportunity to work on projects that have included wood framing over tw-levels of concrete podium parking structure and retail as well as concrete tilt-up construction.

Throughout his career, Nick has developed and honed many skills that positively influence and impact the outcome of project success including collaboration, conflict resolution and customer service. When market conditions created abnormally long lead times for roof joists, Nick and his team pivoted to using beams in lieu of joists. This allowed the team to reduce the height of the exterior walls on the project to offset some of the additional costs of the beams and saved multiple months on the overall project duration.

His ability to pivot and strategize in real time proved valuable on North Washington Commerce Center in Thornton, Colorado. With the intent to construct two separate buildings, the original plan changed course once we were approached by a tenant for the first completed building, who required a large parking option. As excavation activities had already begun for a second building, Nick took the lead and requested a pause on the earthwork and suggested considering a stepped parking structure to limit the amount of rework required for grading activities. Our vertically integrated real estate, architecture and structural team was able to quickly come to a solution with the civil engineer saving potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in earthwork costs.

While away from the office, Nick keeps busy by enjoying many outdoor activities including skiing, hiking, fishing, watersports and any pickup sports. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
