Responsibilities

Manages pursuit, design, construction and activation on projects to ensure they meet or exceed safety, budget, schedule, quality and client satisfaction goals
Coordinates with field and safety team to identify, plan and provide the resources needed to perform each project safely
Organizes and manages the project team to ensure individual accountability and clarity of roles
Ensures sufficient resources are allocated to successfully achieve all project goals and contract requirements
Actively promotes and supports a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment on projects

Experience

Shawn began his career in the construction industry when he joined us in 2015. He focuses on industrial and multifamily projects and has managed the delivery of over 1.5 million industrial square feet and roughly 1,000 residential units.

Shawn employed his problem-solving skills and attention to detail on The Glenn at The Jones District in Centennial, Colorado. He collaborated closely with the cabinet supplier on to create a custom wine cubby that could be installed next to the existing cabinetry after noticing the upper cabinets had been incorrectly fabricated causing significant spacing between the cabinets and refrigerator. This creative solution not only prevented the need to reorder and reinstall but was delivered as an intentional part of the design and added value to the residence

His ability to make quick, well-informed decisions is critical in continuing to move a project forward, and Shawn excels at doing so. When leading a team of designers and consultants, he focuses on solutions for cost effective and functional design, including selection of MEP systems, structure type, acoustics, accessibility, LEED, energy efficiency and enclosure detailing. Solving for these early on drives his team to remain on schedule and budget.

When away from the office, Shawn enjoys golfing, hiking and skiing as well as participating in intramural sports and watching professional sporting events. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs.
