Arbor Lakes Lifestyle Center
Thoughtful Architectural Design & Tenant Mix Shine at Arbor Lakes
With extensive experience in retail development, office and other real estate sectors, Opus project team members saw an opportunity to create the first-ever premier lifestyle shopping, retail and entertainment destination in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area. Located in Maple Grove, Minnesota, the open-air Arbor Lakes Lifestyle Center serves as a major destination drawing customers from the north metro as well as the upstate region.
Phase I: The Main Street of Arbor Lakes
Following meetings with city planners and other officials, the team started development on the first phase of the Arbor Lakes project – The Main Street of Arbor Lakes.
The initial phase of the 450-acre community integrated more than 500,000 square feet of retail into a street-grid design featuring two-story retail and office buildings along the roads. This main street was surrounded by larger format space for big box retailers, office space and residential properties.
Phase II: The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes
Following the initial phase, the team had a vision to develop a more pedestrian-friendly retail area – the genesis of Minnesota's first lifestyle center – The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.
The 412,000-square-foot center features a roster of upscale retailers including Anthropologie, Coldwater Creek, Pottery Barn and more as well as a spacious courtyard that plays host to outdoor dining venues and civic gatherings.
Phase III: Fountains at Arbor Lakes
The team continued to identify ways to enhance the Arbor Lakes community and diversify the options presented to its customers. Known as the Fountains at Arbor Lakes, the third phase includes entertainment options such as Dave & Busters and hospitality options, including a Holiday Inn that features an indoor waterpark.
The prime location, paired with the unique line-up of tenants and aesthetically pleasing architectural design elements, make Arbor Lakes a desired retail and entertainment destination.
