Enhancing Student-Athlete Experiences for Luther College

We're honored to once again find ourselves on the campus of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where we're constructing the Gerdin Fieldhouse for Athletics and Wellness, a project that includes renovating the existing 200,000-square-foot Regents Center and building a 15,787-square-foot addition.

This project is the latest in Luther's decades-long investment in its student-athletes and the facilities in which they train and compete.

For the better part of 25 years, we've partnered with Luther to bring their vision for a differentiated campus experience to life. In fact, we've built or renovated nearly a dozen Luther facilities, including the Aquatic Center, Legacy Field, the Softball Stadium and Betty A. Hoff Field, the Baseball Stadium, the Tennis Venue, the Robert and Ann Naslund Sports & Recreation Center, the Center for the Arts, the Sampson-Hoffland Science Center, the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music, Miller Hall and Dieseth Hall.

Through those many years of partnership, Luther's leadership team has embraced our design-build model and recognized its unique ability to improve efficiencies and maximize budgets without sacrificing quality. Our involvement in the Gerdin Fieldhouse for Athletics and Wellness is just the latest example.

Upon completion, the Gerdin Fieldhouse for Athletics and Wellness will offer:
  • a new 5,787-square-foot public lobby with a concession stand, restrooms and the Norse Athletics Hall of Fame
  • a new 10,200-square-foot wrestling training complex
  • an extensively renovated basketball and volleyball arena
  • updated athlete training and rehab facilities and locker rooms
  • refurbished meeting and study spaces for use by all 21 Norse athletic teams
