Opus Transforms High-Profile Retail Site in Coon Rapids for Schneiderman’s Furniture
Opus has transformed an unused store in Coon Rapids, Minn., into a new upscale furniture showroom for Minneapolis-based retailer
Schneiderman's Furniture.
Opus designed and constructed the new showroom, which is Schneiderman's first retail showroom in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis. The 130,000-square-foot building is located on Riverdale Blvd NW and offers excellent visibility from U.S. Highway 10. Vacant for five years, it was formerly a Sears store in the Riverdale Village retail center.
The new showroom features a modern design and key Schneiderman's branding elements, including abundant large windows that fill the interior with natural light.
Opus was able to maximize Schneiderman's budget and meet an aggressive four-month project timeline because of our integrated design-build delivery method, coupled with a deep understanding of Schneiderman's brand. Previously, Opus designed and constructed the retailer's signature store in Lakeville, Minn., as well its Roseville, Minn. store.
By adapting an existing building for new use, Schneiderman's demonstrated a commitment to sustainability while contributing to the revitalization of brick-and-mortar retail centers.
The store was completed in April 2022.
