Preparing for Tomorrow by Building Parking Today

We're partnering with Koelbel & Company and GreenSlate Development on construction of a 753-stall parking garage for the city of Omaha. The seven-story parking structure is located in the EDGE District, a new multi-use hub for collaboration, innovation and economic development just west of the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).

The parking garage will help meet the critical need for parking within the district due to expected future growth along Saddle Creek Road.

GreenSlate Development, which is also developing the Catalyst building, an innovation hub anchoring UNMC's new multi-use EDGE District, selected us as their design-build partner for the parking garage after working with us on Storz Warehouse, a 202,000-square-foot industrial project adjacent to Omaha's Eppley Airfield.

Both the city and UNMC are putting significant resources into the EDGE District, making our role in building the parking garage significant. The 30-acre triangle-shaped district will house innovation and medical research facilities with the possibility of dining, retail and other amenities.

Upon completion, the parking garage will offer:
  • seven stories of parking with two stairways and four elevators
  • 753 parking stalls, including four electric vehicle charging stations
  • prefabricated aluminum panels and lighting features along the north wall
  • close proximity to the Catalyst and CORE buildings
