Renishaw North American Headquarters

​In today’s competitive business climate, evolving with technology is critical, especially for a world-wide, leading engineering and scientific technology company like Renishaw Incorporated. As business grew, so did the need for a larger facility. Opus was enlisted to design and construct a 134,000-square-foot highly customized industrial warehouse and office facility that would support Renishaw’s unique business needs.

Consolidating two existing sites, the new facility consists of approximately 69,000 square feet of office space and 38,000 square feet of warehouse space, providing necessary work, lab, storage and distribution areas.

Renishaw specializes in creating and using high-precision measurement instrumentation requiring very specific environmental requirements in certain areas. For example, some spaces require a controlled climate to within half a degree of temperature and humidity. Opus and Renishaw closely collaborated to identify optimal solutions for every space within the new facility – an invaluable benefit of the design-build process for Renishaw.

As the North American headquarters, the building houses a central IT hub for all of its North American operations, providing customers with direct support and product services. The building features a 27,000-square-foot flexible training, fabrication and demonstration space that allows Renishaw to offer a unique client experience. Additionally, it has an open, two-story windowed exhibit hall where clients can take a tour, see products and equipment up close and view directly into their laboratories. Additionally, a nature preserve and nearby golf course provides convenient access to outdoor amenities and great views.

With an eye toward the future, the site can accommodate expansion to support Renishaw’s ongoing growth.
